Call detail records (CDRs) can look similar across major wireless carriers, but the underlying files are not interchangeable.
AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon may use different field names, event codes, time conventions, network identifiers, and production formats.
In technical evidence review, a spreadsheet or demonstrative exhibit is an interpretation of source records rather than a direct copy of a carrier’s operational database.
A CDR commonly records communications metadata such as originating and terminating numbers, date and time, duration, event type, routing information, and cell-site or sector references.
The available fields depend on the record category and the carrier’s systems.
Voice calls, text messages, data sessions, billing records, and network events may be delivered in separate files or combined reports.

A summary can clarify patterns across large record sets, but it can also conceal differences if the mapping rules are not visible.
